Infographic titled “Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program – Educating Families Since 1969” from Texas A&M AgriLife Extension and EFNEP. Highlights 2025 Harris County Outreach results. Program reached 1,073 participants and 4,476 family members. Ninety-six percent made a positive change in one or more food groups. Adult outreach outcomes include 70% increased physical activity behaviors, 41% checked for sales more often before shopping, 88% practicing better food resource management, 96% improved diet quality behaviors, 50% ate dark-green vegetables more often, and 80% improved food safety practices. Youth outreach served 3,396 kindergarten through 12th grade students, with 83% improving ability to choose healthy foods, 58% improving safe food handling practices, and 53% improving physical activity behaviors. Also notes 194 volunteers contributing 1,129 hours, equal to an $37,923 in-kind contribution.
