Infographic titled “Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program – Educating Families Since 1969” from Texas A&M AgriLife Extension and EFNEP. Highlights 2025 Cameron County Outreach results. Program reached 1,075 participants and 4,841 family members. Ninety-two percent made a positive change in one or more food groups. Adult outreach outcomes include 68% increased physical activity behaviors, 49% using a written food spending plan more often, 90% practicing better food resource management, 94% improved diet quality behaviors, 42% eating yogurt or drinking yogurt smoothies more often, and 76% improved food safety practices. Youth outreach served 7,702 kindergarten through 12th grade students, with 88% improving ability to choose healthy foods, 67% improving safe food handling practices, and 58% improving physical activity behaviors. Also notes 220 volunteers contributing 2,486 hours, equal to an $83,505 in-kind contribution.
