Infographic titled “Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program – Educating Families Since 1969” from Texas A&M AgriLife Extension and EFNEP. Highlights 2025 Bexar County Outreach results. Program reached 1,043 participants and 3,471 family members. Ninety percent made a positive change in one or more food groups. Adult outreach outcomes include 62% increased physical activity behaviors, 36% checked for sales more often before shopping, 88% practicing better food resource management, 94% improved diet quality behaviors, 42% ate dark green vegetables more often, and 69% improved food safety practices. Youth outreach served 7,746 kindergarten through 12th grade students, with 87% improving ability to choose healthy foods, 56% improving safe food handling practices, and 56% improving physical activity behaviors. Also notes 175 volunteers contributing 1,738 hours, equal to an $58,379 in-kind contribution.
