World Food Safety Day

Foodborne illness affects millions of people each year, creating a burden on individuals, families, communities, and healthcare systems. This World Food Safety Day (June 7), we recognize that safe food is essential for good health and that everyone has a role to play in reducing food safety risks.

Small actions can make a big difference:

✔️ Wash hands, surfaces, and produce before preparing food.
✔️ Keep raw meats separate from ready-to-eat foods.
✔️ Cook foods to safe internal temperatures.
✔️ Refrigerate perishable foods promptly.
✔️ Avoid eating raw dough or batter, as raw flour is not a ready-to-eat ingredient.
